YOGA STRONG FOR WOMEN 4-WEEK SERIES (LIVESTREAM)

It’s your time to THRIVE—inside and out in our invigorating, replenishing and transformative yoga series designed just for women. Shed the habits that are holding you back through Vinyasa yoga practices that will progressively strengthen your body, develop your stamina, and enhance your flexibility. Boost your physical, mental, and spiritual self as we combine breathwork and subtle body energetics including Chakras, Vayus, Ayurveda and other yogic philosophies in our practices. Commit to four weeks and the momentum you cultivate will permeate throughout the rest of your day. Students will also receive an extra 45-minute yoga practice to do virtually each week as well as mindfulness and journaling assignments. Previous experience practicing yoga is required.

TOTAL CORE YOGA 4-WEEK SERIES

Understand, connect and tone your total core in this invigorating and strengthening yoga series. The core is not just your ab muscles but a whole network of muscles throughout your trunk that help you stand-up straight, walk on two feet and move through most yoga standing, balancing and inverting poses. Each week learn about one part of your core, including the anatomy and subtle body energetics, and then strengthen, stretch, stabilize and focus on that area during a flowing asana practice. Find yourself standing-up taller, sitting more upright and having more awareness of your body's alignment throughout your day. This series is designed for students with some yoga experience; you should be able to hold downward dog and plank pose (with knees down ok) for at least 5 breaths.

PRENATAL YOGA 4-WEEK SERIES

Rejuvenate, relax and recharge as we move, breath and build community with other expectant moms! This in-studio prenatal yoga series will reduce your common pregnancy discomforts and tensions, prepare your body for birth, improve your postpartum recovery and bring mindfulness to your daily life. You’ll gain the strengthening benefits of a yoga flow class as well as the wonderful feeling of releasing tensions through supported restorative poses. We’ll focus on important muscle groups, including pelvic floor muscles, while using specific prenatal yoga movements to increase circulation, helping you sleep better at night. Refuel you energy and bring more contentment and joy to your life by moving the body and socializing with other pregnant mamas! All levels and stages of pregnancy are welcome.

YOGA MAMA 4-WEEK SERIES

Yoga Class for Moms at Free Spirit Yoga + Fitness + Play

Being a mom is one the most challenging and rewarding things you will ever do! Part of the challenge is feeling you don’t have the time or energy to keep yourself healthy in mind and body and feeling unsupported. Join Free Spirit’s owner and mom of two littles, Rachel Augustine, for this rewarding 4-week in-person yoga series designed specifically for moms with younger kids, ages 5 and under (but no kids allowed during classes:). We will develop a yoga and mindful practice that will build strength and flexibility for your mind and body and help balance out your emotions. We will work to reduce common “mom” tensions especially in low back, neck, and shoulders, while increasing core strength and rebalancing your hips and pelvis. You will also learn Ayurvedic Yoga methods that will reduce fatigue and balance your system from the food you are eating to the type of yoga practice you should be doing. In addition, each week you’ll receive do-able daily mindful practices and a bonus 30-minute recorded yoga class to do on your own schedule. All while creating a wonderful community of like-minded Yoga Mamas. All levels welcome!

YOGA WALL 4-WEEK SERIES

Yoga Wall Classes at Free Spirit Yoga + Fitness + Play

Join us for this unique opportunity to experience the Yoga Wall in-person. Often described as the mother of all props, the Yoga Wall is an incredible yoga tool that improves alignment, takes you deeper into poses, elongates the spine, re-aligns the pelvis and releases the hips. Plus the Yoga Wall allows you to invert safely without placing pressure on your neck, shoulders or wrists. Each week we’ll focus on a different areas: the upper back, lower back, neck, shoulders, hips and pelvis. Yoga sequences and breathwork will connect each area of the body with different, subtle body energetics (Chakras and Vayus). Flowing yoga sequence on your mat as well as time on the Yoga Wall will increase your strength and flexibility while connecting your mind, body, and spirit. All levels are welcome.
